yesterday sermon notes!

hi, gals. This is de sermon notes for yesterday's sermon during teenz service. De speaker is Joseph Lok. Title: TEENz Vision 1) TEENz= Teenagers Evangelize and Edify Nationz In short: Teenagers impact the world. 2) Our Responses 6 kinds of responses: a) I really don't know (Psa 32 :8) b) God's will is LOST - God is playing hide and seek - Pray also no use c) I don't want to know because I'm afraid (Rom 8:32) - God sure demands too much - Demand me to do things that I don't like d) I want to do part of God's will and ignore the rest - I want to impact the world but don't want to pay the price - I want to se my friends get save, but I don't want to share gospel eg: stepping on the gas pedal and applying the brake e) I want to decide whether or not - I want to "test drive" God's will - Test God's will whether suitable for my appetite * These are the dangerous responses f) I want to obey God's will - I want to obey God's will no matter what - I want to obey God's will no matter how much I know eg: God has a plan for Israel - Moses leaded the Israelites out of Egypt, to the border of Canaan Land - Sent out 12 spies such as Joshua, Caleb, etc... Moses - Joshua + Caleb = all the congregation of Israelites - 10 spies BUT... - the cities are fortitied and very large - giants - we seems to be grasshppers - 10 spies said cannot go - only Joshua & Caleb said can go - Whom to listen? - 603,550 warrior - only 2 said "I want to go" - 99.9997% vs 0.0003% - 99.9997% warriors cannot go to Cannan Land, all died in the wilderness, missed God's will - 603,548 warriors died - only 0.0003% (Joshua & Caleb) can go in - They had the 6th response. I want to obey God's will no matter what. (Num 14:9) - God definitely fulfills His plans - God does what He says - God means what He says - God will not bullshit - Today, we can be WARRIORS OF FAITH - This is not a dream, a wish or just a slogan. This is what God wants to accomplish - So, let us join together in God's will.

hihi..... thx ya, gals really miss u all alot! i'm going to have my tutorial weeks starting from next week for 2 weeks... hmm.. tutorial week is something like a mini holiday for us but still need to go back sch for make up lsns.. so i 'm coming back to teenz on next 2 sat.. yeah! finally can come ald.. see u all next sat ya.. cheerz :)

last Saturday’s sermon

Aaron preached about true friends last Saturday. for those of you that couldnt make it for teenz last Saturday can read about the sermon here. it is just the main points.

Three stages of choosing Friends.
1. Based on where we live (our location)
2. Based on what we like (personality traits&hobby)
3. Based on what you believe

Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
- we're easily influence by friends.
- friends are also will determine what we want.
- will shed by friends.
- influence the friends,influence by friends.
- ask JESUS,who is my neighbour(friends)??
LOVE YOU FRIENDS AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.

rethink about your friends. Chose friends like Samaritans =]
Be true friends to another.

Three type of friendships ( Luke 10:25-37 )
1.Priest - if i help you, i'll be affected. therefore i better not to help you.
2.Levites - come over and take a look. better not to help you and just pretend to be your friend.
3.Samaritans - A friend who will commit to you!

Eight marks of a true friends
- True friend is bond to what the bible believes in friendship.
- Concern for other people not just for themselves.
- Tells you what you need to hear.
- Cares about your need,not just out of a need for your acceptance.
- Someone that gives godly counsel.
- Trustworthy.
- Treat you with respect.
- Someone that helps you fulfil your destiny.

Conclusion:
The point of the day is not about having friends.We should start moving from having friends to being friendly.
To be people that is inclusive out of genuine spirit of love.
True friends not just read other people blog,then believe what the people say..
True friends is not easily trust others.
True friends is trustworthy.
Chose friends wisely,friends are important.
Show me your friends,then i will show you your future.
True friends will still care you..even with just an sms..

training is driving me crazy...

hihi...sch has juz started not long ago but sports day is coming soon...i got choosen to run ,long distance,n long jump...counted as an athelics la...so now almost everyday got traning...we muz run d field about dunno how many times every time traning some more do sit up ,push up,back up n lotz of weird stuff la...so tired lo...some times still need 2 go morning 4 training even i afternoon session...haiz...so kesian..some times here pain there pain...leg la...thigh la...n others la...juz help me pray tat i wont get sick or injuries lo...coz i having slight flu n cough scared will led into fever...thks god bless u gals..

this post is quite long over due.

anyway...to those of you that still dont know. i'm currently in KL doing my piano. i'll most probably be back after CNY. hopefully.

i'm doing fine here. hope all of you are doing fine back home.
school has started for most of you. study hard and play hard. continue to grow in God as the year goes on. set new goals for yourself to achieve by the end of this year.

i do miss all of you back home. my phone is still available. any of you can sms me anytime you want. i'll reply you asap when i'm not practicing my piano.

anyway...do take care and continue to attend cell group faithfully. look out for one another and show care and concern for each other.

hey, my new timetable came out yesterday, i think.... coz my comp is not update n it's old version so can't open e file.. I asked my friend through msn, she said sat got sch.. time: 1pm-3pm (o no!) :( if dat's e case, then i can't go teenz n cg ald.. pls pray dat e class will change to morning instead of afternoon.. or change to another day instead of sat..
